How Mysterious

Feature #1 - Janet Evanovich

Janet Evanovich - Stephanie Plum Series

A very sweet friend introduced me to the Plum series and I began with book 15 in this series (I have since reread from book 1 in order) and I definitely like the books later on, probably from book 4 or 5 on better then the first few written. The author really developed her characters by then, the humor started to come out more and they weren't as dark as the 1st novels in the series. I know a lot of fans are tired of the books and want Stephanie to pick Morelli or Ranger but I can still happily go on reading these tales of mad cap murder, mystery and mayhem and probably never grow bored! I would rather not watch another poorly made movie though! WOA!

I have listed these in order written. Though they can be read as stand alone, it's fun to read them in the correct order - I'm a little spastic like that. Janet's website link & Pinterest link are below. Her Pinterest boards are cool, she posts different actors etc for fans to pick who they think would play the best roles for her leading men! (Notorious Nineteen due out 11-20-12)

All her kindle books range in price from $6.99 to $8.99 and new releases are from $12.99 - $13.99.

I haven't gotten to read many of her other books but I love the following three books:

Wicked Appetite (book 1) Diesel made appearances with Stephanie in the Between the Numbers books/novellas.  This is Lizzie & Diesel's series. 7 stones of power, 7 deadly sins, a monkey & a ninja cat! Fun stuff! I can't wait to read Wicked Business (book 2 in this series which was released 6-19-12).

In Metro Girl, Alexandra aka Alex aka Barney heads to Miami in search of her younger brother "Wild" Bill & teams up with hot NASCAR driver Sam Hooker for an adventure that takes her to the heart of Miami where she meets some fun and interesting characters to the Keys, Cuba and even Naples (about an hour and half south of where I live). In Motor Mouth Barney & Hooker are back for another adventure and it's just as good as the first one!

Oh my word....how could I forget! I've read 3 of her romance novels and they were great. The story lines were different and the books were FUNNY! I laughed out loud and enjoyed each one!

1. Wife for Hire - Amazon Book Description:
Hank Mallone knows he's in trouble when Maggie Toone agrees to pretend to be his wife in order to improve his rogue's reputation. Will his harebrained scheme to get a bank loan for his business backfire once Maggie arrives in his small Vermont town and lets the gossips take a look?

Maggie never expected her employer to be drop-dead handsome, but she's too intrigued by his offer to say no . . . and too eager to escape a life that made her feel trapped. The deal is strictly business, both agree, until Hank turns out to be every fantasy she ever had.

2. Foul Play - (this was my fav of the 3) Amazon Book Description:
When Amy Klasse loses her TV job to a dancing chicken, handsome veterinarian Jake Elliott rescues her with an offer to be his receptionist. Jake just can't resist a damsel in distress, and Amy certainly doesn't mind Jake's charming sincerity.

Then suddenly the job-stealing chicken disappears and Amy is suspected of foul play. Amy and Jake search for clues to prove her innocence. But will Jake be able to prove to Amy that love, too, is a mystery worth solving?

3. Rocky Road to Romance - Amazon Book Description:
Her tall, dark, and deliciously dangerous boss . . .

When the delightful, daffy Dog Lady of station WZZZ offered to take on the temporary job of traffic reporter, Steve Crow tried to think of reasons to turn Daisy Adams down. Perhaps he knew that sharing the close quarters of a car with her for hours would give the handsome program director no room to resist her quirky charms. He'd always favored low-slung sports cars and high-heeled women, but that was before he fell for a free spirit who caught crooks by accident, loved old people and pets, and had just too many jobs!

Loving Daisy turned Steve's life upside down, especially once he adopted Bob, a huge dog masquerading as a couch potato. But was Daisy finally ready to play for keeps?
