Feature #1 - H.P. Mallory's Jolie Wilkins Series
H.P. Mallory's Jolie Wilkins Series
Genre - Paranormal/Romance/Fantasy/Fiction/Contemporary
I really enjoyed this series of witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves, faeries and the like. It has a new perspective on the underworld that held my interest. In my opinion the author could use a little work on her writing skills, for instance, a few times I had a hard time understanding what she was trying to convey since she liked to keep things mysterious. It was almost like she wanted you to guess what she was thinking! I basically loved the characters though it would have been nice for Jolie to have had a little more fire in her character, she was weak for a main character in my taste. Very unsure of herself and at times she didn't put her faith in the men she supposedly loved. It was an irritating weakness. The story lines were different then the normal Twilight and Harry Potter fan fiction and I think that is why even though some of the stuff was silly I couldn't put these books down and ended up liking all of them. There are 6 books in the series and it doesn't seem like there will be anymore. It was disappointing because book 6 left a few things hanging, maybe the author has something planned in the future like a series spin off. The ending of book 6 did lead me to believe that was possible - I'm not the author though! ;)

Be Witched (Novella): A Jolie Wilkins/Rand Balfour Novella
This is the 3rd book released but not considered Book #3 I guess because it's a novella

This is a short novella through the eyes of Rand. It's basically a re-read from Rand's perspective.
Witchful Thinking (A Jolie Wilkins Novel, Book #3)
Pages - 338
Amazon - $2.99
I hem and haw about what to tell you regarding this book, it would spoil endings for the other books in the series. It's a continuation with more adventure and more of the same characters. That's all I should say!
The Witch Is Back (A Jolie Wilkins Novel, Book #4)
Pages - 370
Amazon - $3.99
This is very different...what happened if Rand hadn't been the one to walk into Jolie's store? What if it had been Sinjun? Shocking but all the same I just love Sinjin!!!! For me though, not for Jolie. I could definitely use a Sinjin in my life! LOL!
Something Witchy This Way Comes (A Jolie Wilkins Novel, Book #5)
Pages - 338
Amazon - $3.99
Oh no, it's finally the Lurkers! It wasn't a bad ending though I felt a few thing were left hanging. Maybe a series spin off is in the future. Anything is possible.
