Interesting Women in History
Lady Valerie Meux (1847-1910) - quite the minx, before she married Sir Meux she was an
actress & maybe even a prostitute if the gossips are to be believed. She even lived with a man in sin! Oh golly no.....obviously back then it was horrifically scandalous! In her defense, Valerie wrote, “I can very honestly say that my sins were
committed before marriage and not after.” LOL! She wasn't popular with society women or with her
husbands family but she didn't care, she even had zebras to pull her phaeton and had Churchill & the Prince of Wales stay at their country home, can you imagine?
She definitely led an interesting life!
