Jill Barnett - One of my all time favorite authors of historical romance, though she does write contemporary fiction as well. She has written many of my favorite books including: Just a Kiss Away, Wonderful, Wild, Wicked, Bewitching & Dreaming.

Amanda Quick - Popular pseudonyms: Amanda Quick (historical/regency romance) / Jayne Ann Krentz (contemporary romance) / Janye Castle (paranormal/fantasy romance). Her lesser known and possibly older pseudonyms are - Stephanie James (for Silhouette), Jayne Bentley, Jayne Taylor & Amanda Glass. I only read her books written as Amanda Quick, I'm not a fan of contemporary or fantasy romance. My favorite book by Quick is Deception though I also rave over a few of her other historical romance novels~ Ravished (prob my 2nd fav), Dangerous, Mistress, Scandal, Reckless, Mischief and Desire.

Sabrina Jeffries - I love her regency romance novels. My two favorite novels by Jeffries are A Dangerous Love (Swanlea Spinsters book 1) and The Pirate Lord (the Lord Trilogy). She usually writes in a series format so that you can continue to enjoy the characters you fall in love with. The Hellions of Hallstead Hall is my favorite series, I enjoyed the 1st five books and I know she just released a new addition Twas the Night After Christmas (Nov 2012) but I haven't had a chance to read it. She also wrote under 2 different pseudonyms many years ago - as Deborah Nicholas she published 3 contemporary paranormal romantic suspense novels that are no longer in print. She also wrote under the pseudonym Deborah Martin which were historical romances. Most are no longer in print but 2 are in process of being reworked and released, By Love Unveiled is due out at the end of February 2013. She loves her social networking too.

Ariana Franklin - aka Diana Norman is an absolutely brilliant story teller. I was crushed when I learned she passed away in 2011 because I truly love her work. I haven't yet read everything because I want to savor every last book. There are many interesting links to explore that give us a brief glimpse of this fascinating woman. I have read that her daughter may be completing one of her novels Winter Siege which is expected out in 2014, so I will definitely have to watch closely for that.
